3Ψ partners with National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the research proposal ““Non-destructive, inexpensive, and accurate assessment of REsiduals STresses in 3D printed metal parts - REST3D”, submitted under the Horizon 2020 call for proposals “MSCA-RISE-2019: Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE)” of the European Commission H2020 Work Programme "Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions". Our proposal, is a product of 3Ψ's insight in 3D printing and the expertise of the Laboratory for Electronic Sensors of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, in residual stress monitoring, which resulted in an innovative idea. If funded, REST3D will create a sustainable research and innovation platform of intersectoral collaboration between three academic and two industrial European participants to exchange knowledge on the development of 3D printing processes and residual stress measurement techniques in order to drastically improve the quality and structural integrity of 3D printed metal parts.
